case control study on the association between vitamin d deficiency and diabetes mellitus type 2 at tertiary care hospital, Jaipur

Introduction: Diabetes mellitus refers to a group of common metabolic disorders. Recently, emerging evidence has suggested role for suboptimal vitamin D status in the etiology T2DM. This study aimed determine association between Vitamin -D deficiency and type 2 Mellitus patients tertiary care centre, Jaipur. Method material: was hospital based descriptive observational done Department Medicine, Jaipur, Rajasthan. included 100 cases control. Result: There were 55% males 45% female among participants. Out 200 participants, 160 (80%) subjects are vit deficient which 84 (42%) 76 (38%) controls, means more comparision controls. Conclusion: Though is prevalent T2DM non-diabetic control subjects, its relationship glycation or insulin resistance could not be confirmed our population. potentially an important finding public health, demonstrating that improvement one factors responsible better health individuals.
